Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still: Redbreast 12 boasts the flavour complexity and distinctive qualities of Pot Still whiskey. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, the distinctive Redbreast sherry style is a joy to behold in each and every bottle.

Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Cask Strength: Winner of 'Irish Whiskey of the Year 2013', this is the statndard Redbreast 12 Year old only more. Most of the maturation is done in sherry casks but with careful selection so that the sherry character does not overpower the whiskey. The pot still content really shines through which explains why it has been winning so many awards. 

Redbreast Lustau Edition Sherry Cask: A unique collaboration between the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain and the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Initially matured in traditional bourbon & sherry casks for a period of 9-12 years. It is then finished for one extra year in first fill sherry butts which have been seasoned with oloroso sherry from the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain.

Jameson Pot Still: Triple distilled for a smooth and balanced taste. Jameson Pot Still  Irish Whiskey is a mellow whiskey with floral and vanilla notes, as well as sherry undertones and an exceptionally smooth finish. Jameson Original is a blend of pot still and grain whiskey, aged in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks.

Teeling Single Pot Still: Crafted using a recipe of 50% unmalted and 50% malted barley and is then matured in a combination of virgin oak, ex-wine and ex-bourbon barrels. You will get an abundance of fresh orchard fruits with a subtle hint of peppery spice on the finish.

Drumshanbo Pot Still: An elegant single pot still Irish whiskey aged primarily in Kentucky Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso casks giving a wonderful combination of creamy texture along with hints of fruit and spice.  

Ballykeefe Single Pot Still: Triple distilled in bespoke, Irish designed, Italian made, copper stills, using deep well Ballykeefe water. On the nose this whiskey is warm and inviting with caramel and toffee notes, combined with soft oak, vanilla, malt cereal and a hint of coconut. In terms of taste, there is a surge of rich earthy malt with sweet and spicy notes of liquorice, cloves, dried fruit and green cardamom. A small splash of water opens the rich malt flavours even more and enhances the silky mouthfeel – which leaves a long malty finish with notes of cloved oranges and aniseed.

Writers Tears Single Pot Still: Originally matured in bourbon barrels, the triple-distilled, single pot still whiskey was further matured in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks from Spain and Florio Marsala Hogsheads from Sicily, before being cut to 92 proof. On the nose this whiskey delivers candied sweetness and toffee apples, while the palate features notes of pot still spice and the velvet, dessert-like qualities of PX Sherry, finishing with a light chewiness.

This Tasting Flight has been curated to showcase expressions from both The Irishman and Writers Tears core ranges and makes for a fantastic taste experience as well as an incredible gift.

Writers Tears - Copper Pot: A fine whiskey, which strictly speaking is a blend but only contains pot still whiskey and malt whiskey. Unlike other blends it does not contain and grain whiskey. This has been extremely popular since it was first released.

Writers Tears - Double Oak:  Created using a combination of American Oak Bourbon barrels from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac casks to perfectly age this unique blend of Irish Single Malt and Single Pot Still Whiskey. It is triple-distilled, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. This expression is made possible by a close collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland’s County Carlow and the Legaret family in Cognac, France.

Writers Tears - Mizunara Japanese Cask Finish: a unique blend of Single Malt and Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Initially matured in American Oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished for 9 months in rare Japanese Mizunara oak giving this whiskey it’s unique characteristics of spice and Japanese incense.

The Irishman - The Harvest: Previously known as Founder’s Reserve, The Harvest is a truly unique take on traditional Irish whiskey. A single malt & single pot whiskey with a creamy, oaky creme caramel taste that is matured in American oak bourbon barrels.

The Irishman Single Malt - A triple-distilled Single Malt matured in American Oak Bourbon and European Oak Oloroso Sherry casks to give exceptional flavour and complexity. Triple distilled and crafted from a mash bill made entirely of Irish barley. Rich, honeyed maltiness, candied fruit and soft notes of toasted almonds with a dusting of cocoa and a subtle oak finish.
