Causeway Collection

Like every good whiskey house, the Bushmills distillery also has special bottlings. One of these is the 'Causeway' edition. Products in this series are reminiscent of the so-called 'Giant's Cuasway', which translates as 'dam of the giants'. This can be found in the immediate vicinity of the distillery and every bottling stands for this natural wonder. The fillings differ in that the 10 cask fillings experienced different finishes in exclusively selected casks. For the 10-year-old Causeway Collection Cognac Cask Edition, you can already guess from the name what type of barrel it was. The maturation took place initially for 7.5 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon barrels before a 2.5-year finish in cognac barrels. The flavors move so very diverse between sweet fruit notes, but also warming spicy notes such as vanilla or cinnamon. In the aftertaste, tart wood notes mix into the foreground.
